The first feature production directed by Kershner (THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, THE FLIM-FLAM MAN) is a tightly woven, documentarylike expose of three teenagers, Wexler, Haze, and Miller, who find two pounds of uncut heroine. Instead of turning it in to the police, they give in to their
greed and try peddling it on the street. But they come up against obstacles they hadn't anticipated.
