Barthelmess even finds himself working under cover in the service of his country. Barthelmess is pretty bland in his performance, but Vosper, as Napoleon III, gives a realistic and effective portrayal. This costume drama, set in 1870, is based on a book by Baroness Orzy. It was filmed in Britain
