Stamp-Taylor plays a widow who is down on her luck and trying to get back on her feet. She attempts to arrange a marriage between her son, Wilding, and Churchill, daughter of a former flame. To everyone's surprise, Wilding falls for the charming younger sister, who is lacking the
distasteful qualities shared by her sister and father. Highlights come in the characterizations of Rutherford as an eccentric aunt and Sydney as the family butler. The performances of these two make for some very delightful moments.
