Kevin and Diana (Brian Dennehy and Elizabeth Ashley) are a middle-aged couple whose older son, Danny (Michael O'Keefe), an athlete and a possible Olympian in gymnastics, becomes involved in a cult run by a man called Kirklander (Peter Fonda). The cult is relatively harmless; the kids in the group lead clean, drug-free lives and devote themselves to worthwhile activities.
