Routine aviation thriller about a sympathetic test pilot who kills a blackmailer attempting to ruin the company. The pilot then falls victim himself to the temptation of selling plans for a secret aircraft to the enemy. He is stopped by Scotland Yard before the sale is completed.
Producer Corfield had intended to call the film FIFTH COLUMN SQUAD for its U.S. release but was sued by Ernest Hemingway who felt that the title had infringed on his work
The Fifth Column published a year earlier. Hemingway, with his powerful literary standing, easily won the case. Originally
released in Britain at 77 minutes, but cut down for its stateside release.
