A cute young couple try to get a handle on their problems in this well-intentioned but not especially engaging drama. Aspiring actor Max (Jason London) is working on a spec script with his pal Doug (Phill Lewis), and not much else. Max's secret passion is sports gambling and he's losing a lot of money he doesn't have — even his bookie (Richmond Arquette) thinks he ought to slow down. When Max's girlfriend Brigette (Charlie Spradling) is stressed, she reaches for a glass of wine... then another and another and another. Max has sworn to Brigette that he's not betting anymore, and when she catches him in the lie, they make a pact: He has to go a month without bet...
