Cotten stars in this comedy as a US diplomat stationed behind the Iron Curtain. He is saddled with the responsibility of caring for a baby left in the embassy garden by one of the locals. The all-male embassy staff struggles mightily, and amusingly, to tend to the child, but eventually they are forced to hire a nurse, Bartok, whom Cotten soon takes a liking to. Trouble brews when the Communist government wants the kid back and Cotten refuses to turn it over. A fairly funny Cold War comedy. leave a comment
