Producer Roger Corman forced director-writer Howard Cohen to spin a new science fiction feature out of special effects used in New World's surprisingly successful, low-budget space adventure, BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS. Not only are the effects lifted from another film (and shown over and
over again), but the story is a thinly disguised rip-off of STAR WARS. A band of mercenary space fighters led by "Hawk" (Vince Edwards) battle an evil empire known as the "company" stationed in a giant impenetrable command ship floating in space. Even the musical score is lifted from BATTLE BEYOND
THE STARS. Trash.
