The freaky dark comedy Southland Tales — what is sure to be the only movie ever to boast The Rock, Buffy the vampire slayer and American Pie's Stifler among its cast — will be released on DVD March 18.... The Floods: Good Neighbors (shop Amazon), Colin Thompson's new novel about the spookiest family this side of the Addamses, is out today. While its mix of wizardry and wisecracks make it the next best thing to a new Harry Potter book, I personally recommend it because Crab Scrambly's illustrations are the coolest things this side of the grave. — Ben Katner
