In one of her few sound appearances, Ulric plays a French girl living in the South Seas whose charms soon become the object of sea captain Bickford. He marries her and takes her back home to New England, where the locals are shocked by Ulric's free-spirited lifestyle. Problems arise
between Ulric and Bickford when she accuses him of caring for his ship more than for her. In the end, Bickford travels to France to discover that his wife has inherited a lot of money. Songs include: "Raymond," "Bric-a-Brac," "Sidewalks of New York," "An Idyll of the South Seas," "If You Believed
in Me," and the title song.
