An outdoors frontier film about an old fur trapper, Perry, who ventures through the wilderness while trying to escape the advances of modern civilization. The plot comes second to the picturesque photography of the crystalline expanses of Alaska--scenes better suited for travelogs, which is essentially what this picture is. Intercut into the film are antique stills and old black-and-white footage, and the entire picture is narrated by Gene Evans.
