Rio soared to the top spot at the box office for a second week, making it the top-grossing release of 2011 so far, Box Office Mojo reports.
The Fox animated film, featuring the voices of Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg, took in $26.8 million in its second weekend, bringing its worldwide total to $286 million.
