Some religious films reveal their themes subtly. This one etches its message on a lead pipe and proceeds to bash the audience soundly over the head with it. Three down-and-outers--a vicar's daughter turned actress, a test pilot, and a factory worker/failed gambler--all live lives of little meaning. Enter the Billy Graham crusade, complete with the famed evangelist playing himself, and their once-empty souls are rejuvenated.
