A diverse group of passengers on a seaplane crashes on a deserted island. They soon discover that they have just five hours to get off the island because it is the site for a nuclear bomb test. While there is plenty of action--gun fights, hurricanes, a battle with sharks, and a fire on the plane--the film focuses on character development.
