One of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy's best feature-length films, SONS OF THE DESERT is a comedic send-up of masonic lodge conventions. Based on the team's silent two-reeler WE FAW DOWN, the story involves Laurel and Hardy's trip to a convention of the Sons of the Desert. Because their wives don't want them to attend the convention, the pair pretend to take an ocean cruise to Honolulu for the sake of Hardy's health.
