This was Stan Laurel's second effort as executive producer and he suffered the sophomoric jinx. Director Sam Newfield took Laurel's essay and made it into nothing. Scott sings in this typical western that has him break up a gang of cattle rustlers. His singing is much better than his
fighting. Al St. John went on to become a sidekick of the master of the whip, Lash LaRue, in the 1940s.
