A wandering story of romance that gets some help from the great recordings of Enrico Caruso. Set in the early 1900s, the plot involves Hendrix as the young wife of a man in charge of the local museum. Theirs is a simple life until playboy Carey arrives and buys a house with King. He falls for Hendrix, who reciprocates his love while Caruso sings in the background. Village tradition states that Rains must renounce his wife and her adulterous ways from the church pulpit. After being banned from the town, Hendrix eventually returns when Rains has been taken ill. Rains dies and the lovers are reunited. leave a comment
