Another in the series of Ron Ormond productions starring LaRue made following the demise of Producers Releasing Company, this quickie (the next entry in the series was released exactly two weeks later) avers that sheriff Pat Garrett never actually killed Billy the Kid in 1881. According to
this film, the Kid survived, straightened out, and became a respectable, honest banker. St. John--much plagued by the matrimonial quest of dance-hall girl Carr in the comedy-relief scenes--drives a stagecoach carrying gold shipments to meet the payroll for the coming railroad's construction
workers. The coach is attacked by bandits, including handsome young James, but the bandits...
