Son Of India

This is a typical "racially conscious" Hollywood story of the period, this time involving an Indian boy in love with an American. The film starts quickly enough, with scenes showing Novarro as a young boy with his father on a trip to Bombay. His wealthy father is killed by a gang and the boy is left for dead. All he has is a diamond from his father. He finally makes it to Bombay, looking very ragged, and is framed by a greedy merchant for thievery. A kindly Anglo sticks up for him and he is released.
