Lack of character development hurts this adaptation of Fred Barron's screenplay. Boring comedy has Sarandon as a journalist who gets involved with theater manager Steinberg. She asks stupid questions during press conferences, and generally there's plenty of talking. The intention seems to have been to make this an intellectuals' film, but it comes off pretty shallow. leave a comment
