Essentially a one-man show, SOFI stars Troupe as a 19th-century Russian clerk who becomes so obsessed with his boss's daughter that he begins to lose his mind. He first talks to a wooden puppet, then writes imaginary letters that his dog supposedly has written to him. The final straw is
his belief that he is King Ferdinand VIII of Spain. Needless to say, the clerk is eventually admitted to an insane asylum.
