Sodom And Gomorrah

A biblical epic from Robert Aldrich casts Granger as Lot, leading his people to the Valley of Jordan and making a pit stop in the twin pits of decadence, Sodom and Gomorrah. Aimee is the gorgeous, vice-happy ruler who tries to strike a deal with Granger, but Granger eventually leads his people away in God's name. Granger's wife, Angeli, does not heed the Lord's warnings, turns back to take a final look at the cities, and is transformed into a pillar of salt. An interesting addition to the Aldrich filmography, which is laden with moral cynicism. Sergio Leone is credited with directing the Italian version and some action scenes.
