Intrepid chemist Dixon stumbles upon the formula for a pill that will cause smokers to lose their desire to light up. Seeing an obvious market for his discovery, Dixon announces his find but discovers that the worldwide tobacco industry has the power to squash distribution. After the
prime minister himself pleads with Dixon to abandon his scheme, the chemist reluctantly agrees, but begins work on a new drug that will make people stop drinking. A potentially funny idea is driven into the ground by a poor script and indifferent direction.
