Steve Carell, who plays cringe-worthy boss Michael Scott on The Office, has inked a three-year first-look deal with Warner Bros.
The deal comes after Get Smart grossed $130 million domestically and $230 million worldwide for Warner Bros. Although the studio is ramping up a sequel for Carell, it will not be a part of the overall deal, reports Variety .

Anne Hathaway is finally speaking out about the arrest of her ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri.Follieri, 30, was arrested in June on charges of wire fraud and money laundering, and had been dating Hathaway, 25, for four years before she broke off the relationship hours before his arrest, reports Us Weekly.Hathaway, who was interviewed for October's W magazine, said, "As soon as I found out about the arrest, I had to get on a plane to Mexico to do a press tour for Get Smart," she says in the issue. "And then I spent a week in shock at a friend's house."The actress said that working during such an intense emotional experience was eased by the kindness of friends and her costar Steve Carell. Hathaway told W, "Steve Carell stepped up for me during an interview when someone asked a question [about it]. He said, 'At some point you're going to have to talk about this time in your life. After a year in which her boyfriend was under legal investigation multiple times, Anne Hathaway may have seen the writing on the wall when she broke up with Raffaello Follieri last weekend. The Italian businessman was arraigned Tuesday for wire fraud and money laundering. Follieri's bail has been set at $21 million (!). Once th cash is posted, he'll be on house arrest. His next court date is July 9.According to the AP, Follieri allegedly falsely told an investor that he managed the Vatican's financial affairs, promising he'd be able to sell Catholic Church properties on U.S. soil at a major discount. Anne Hathaway may kick butt in the new comedy Get Smart, but she's taking no prisoners in real life, too. If the Daily Mail has it right, the 25-year-old star has ended her long-term relationship with boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, an Italian businessman.While Follieri has faced previous allegations regarding underhanded financial dealings, the New York State Attorney General's office announced last week that it would be investigating the Follieri Foundation, which ostensibly provides vaccines to children in developing countries. The AG's office has not disclosed the reasons for its investigation. Sources tell the Mail that Hathaway believed the relationship was starting to hurt her career. What has happened to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson? The former pro wrestler and star of the über-macho The Scorpion King has lately been attracted to lighter material like Disney's The Game Plan and this summer's Get Smart. It's safe to expect more of the same, as he's just signed on for 20th Century Fox's The Tooth Fairy. The role finds Johnson as an ordinary man who's brought in (à la Santa Clause) to save the tooth-fairy kingdom.
