Overly talky gangster yarn has Mayo playing a society woman who gets mixed up with some gangsters, including Bennett, the kingpin. The two begin an affair, even though members of Bennett's gang are thinking up a way to do in Mayo's brother, Hutton. Although the goal here was to shed some light on the way gangsters operate, the filmmakers were not successful. The portrayals are not very realistic, and the characters get bogged down in dialog. leave a comment
