This well-meaning view of life on a college campus during the turbulent 1960s fails to gel, mainly because of the misdirection of Rob Cohen, who tries to rein in his actors rather than letting them play off each other. Brad Davis and Jameson Parker are best friends and roommates who share an attraction to the spirited Karen Allen.
