This low-budget feature from independent filmmaker Jost is thoroughly intriguing despite technical shortcomings that would usually cause viewer disinterest. Rogers and Gaddis play complete strangers who meet and almost instantly fall in love on San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. As their affair develops, they are faced with a desperate money shortage and decide to wander across the country in a beat-up car. Gaddis takes to stealing from stores on the backroads and is eventually killed when one store owner refuses to allow him a free hand in the cash register.
