Slightly Scarlet: Review

A remake of BLACKBIRDS (1915), SLIGHTLY SCARLET is a diverting tale about two classy jewel thieves, Brent and Brook, who find true love despite the competitiveness of their field. After the two finally get together, they give up their underworld lives and attempt to go legit. Allister, Pallette and a few others supplied additional laughs, which they did quite successfully. A French version of the film appeared in the same year under the title, L'ENIGMATIQUE MONSIEUR PARKES. leave a comment
