Lupino plays a reporter on duty in the Riviera. The girl in the adjoining hotel suite (Walker) becomes locked out of her room, and she wanders through Lupino's room to get to her own but is spotted. Lupino quickly solves the problem by telling everyone they're married. The rest of the
film concentrates upon the two continuing with their pretense of marriage, paving the way for hearty laughs. Lupino (father of Ida) offers a vivid display of his dancing, singing, and comic talents and is given ample support by Walker. Songs include: "I Don't Want to Go to Bed" and "I'm Awfully
Glad It's Happened to Me."
