Though it doesn't advance animation art, this biographical cartoon does offer a rags-to-riches story with multi-generational appeal. Born into poverty in the Dominican Republic, young Sammy Sosa vows to support his large family after the untimely death of his father. Whether shining shoes or selling oranges, the Sosa boys always put food on the table.
