Colbert plays the neglected wife of businessman Milland, who would rather devote himself to an ad agency than to his loving wife. Their fifth wedding anniversary arrives and Milland promises to quit his job to be with his wife more often. But Colbert is wise to the ploy and quickly heads to the Reno divorce courts. She begins an affair with playboy Aherne, but ends it after the two take a cruise together which winds up being anything but a smooth trip. Colbert then attempts to patch up her marriage with Milland. Played only for laughs, with a light-hearted atmosphere and a quick pace.
