Based on the same notorious case that inspired Genet's The Maids, this well-acted psychodrama concerns an obsessively close relationship between two sisters (Joely Richardson and Jodhi May) that leads to incest, insanity, and a singularly brutal murder. Intermittently gripping and often unintentionally campy, it won't displace FASTER PUSSYCAT! KILL! KILL! as our favorite lesbian psycho killer flick.
