The Sins Of Rose Bernd: Review

Schell is a postwar German peasant girl who falls in love with three men, Vallone, Biberti, and Messemer--then learns that she is pregnant. The unborn baby's father is estate owner Biberti, but instead of enjoying a family life Schell is shunned by the community. She packs her things and flees, giving birth outdoors with tragic results.
