When her lawyer husband defends gangsters, Revier raises Cain. But business is booming and her husband will not give it up. She leaves him, and the lawyer becomes despondent. A young boy (Mickey Rooney, here billed as Mickey McGuire), enters his life and the lawyer's spirits pick up.
However, this happiness soon comes to an end when the boy is killed in the crossfire of a gang war. The lawyer gives up his old clientele and successfully prosecutes the killers, causing Revier to return to him. McGuire is good in his small role, but the rest of the film is pretty bad. The dialog
