In a frontier oil-boomtown in 1910, Crawford and Bennett are a pair of opportunists who save Bond from a hanging. They proceed to take over the saloon and aren't above a little dishonesty now and then. Gwynne is the local newspaper editor who doesn't take a liking to Crawford, to put it mildly.
