Silver Queen

Lane plays an aristocratic young woman of the 1870s who finds herself in trouble after her ne'er-do-well gambling father (Pallette) passes away. He leaves her numerous debts and has gambled away a rich silver mine. The deed for the mine is later won by Brent in a poker game, and he falls for Lane when he discovers the origins of his prize. She's marrying Cabot, though, a man who can give her back the social standing she once held. Brent gives the deed to Cabot as a present for the bride, but she never sees it.
