1936, Movie, NR, 63 mins

The once-popular team of Wheeler and Woolsey were clearly at a low ebb in this weak effort, made on a minimal budget late in their partnership. They play a dentist and his faithful assistant, heading out West to cash in on the Gold Rush and the dental problems of miners. They really had some problems of their own in this tired comedy, which tried to put some life into numerous moldy gags and routines. Frankenstein had more success raising the dead than the creators of this nonsense did in raising a laugh. Wheeler and Woolsey didn't have much of a career left since SILLY BILLIES, like all of their films in this period, was a big money-loser. leave a comment
