Romans and Carthaginians are battling in the city of Syracuse, and Brazzi has been given the defense strategies. When his lover, Louise, becomes pregnant, her evil stepbrother, Salerno, takes the girl to a group of Roman soldiers. She goes into shock, loses her memory, and ends up marrying a Roman consul.
