Semidocumentary drama takes a long look at the roles and attitudes of policewomen on the London force. The film is unexpectedly packed with adventure and provides glimpses of London life tourists seldom see. Crawford, John, and Murray are excellent as the lady cops, and the crooks equal their performances. Summerfield is a deserter-bigamist (an AWOL WAC), Cummins is the compulsive shoplifter, and Morgan is her sneak-thief boy friend. leave a comment
