Shout At The Devil

A WW I German cruiser is hidden away for repairs in Southeast Africa; Sebastian (Roger Moore), a witty Englishman, and Flynn (Lee Marvin), a hard-drinking Irish-American, want to blow it up and show the Germans a thing or two. Assisting the pair is Sebastian's wife, Rosa (Barbara Parkins), who is determined to avenge the Germans' murder of her child. Like many of the big-star, big-budget action movies of the 1970s, SHOUT AT THE DEVIL does have its moments (particularly the action sequences), but for the most part it's an overlong study of two caricatures--the proper Englishman and the sauced Irishman.
