When happy-go-lucky showgirl Carroll witnesses a parade of soldiers marching off to WW I, she begins to awaken to the seriousness of America's participation in the fight. That night she is involved in a harmless automobile fender-bender with a young Texas soldier, Cooper. The two strike up a friendship and soon Cooper falls in love with Carroll.
