Minimal dialogue, spatial disorientation and a tone of revisionism characterize this little-known, strikingly unconventional western from producer Jack Nicholson and editor-turned-director Monte Hellman. Warren Oates stars as a bounty hunter looking for a man who may be his twin brother; he's joined by a flirtatious Millie Perkins, the fatally naive Will Hutchins and a mysterious gunman (Nicholson).
