Shoot Out

After being released from prison gunman Peck sets out to get revenge on the partners who double-crossed him after a bank robbery. He must also take care of Lyn, an abandoned orphan girl. Gregory plays the man's former partner, who hires psychotic gunman Lyons to kill Peck. Made by the same director, producer, and screenwriter of the much better TRUE GRIT, SHOOT OUT suffers from lethargic direction and some unbelievably hammy performances. Peck merely walks through his role and is too nice to be believed as a vengeful man; Lyons overacts with enormous zeal.
