An Italian sculptor and antique dealer, played by Mastroianni, is a dreamer who has a hard time separating his fantasies from fact. Mastroianni lives with De Filippo, his eccentric uncle, and the two share a beat-up little residence. De Filippo, disgusted with the human race, hasn't spoken in 50 years.
