In this film, told in flashback, MacDonald is a crooked assistant district attorney who's in the pocket of local gangster Paiva. The pair work to control the town they live in but encounter problems when another gangster tries to work his way into their operations. After they frame the man (Blackley), his wife, Walters, and reporter Wade team up to uncover the plot. This film boasts several strong performances; Walters' is a little less believable. Her flashback narration is occasionally a problem because she appears aware of events of which she could have had no knowledge. Still, SHOOT TO KILL features good direction that provides suspense and successfully weaves together plot lines. An interesting minor B picture. leave a comment
