Holmes (Basil Rathbone) variously disguises himself as an old Swiss bookseller, a villainous waterfront lascar, and a bearded scientist in an attempt to keep his archenemy Prof. Moriarty (Lionel Atwill) from the newly developed bombsight the English hope to use on Hitler.
