Sherlock Holmes And The Deadly Necklace

A German version of the tales of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famed detective, with a Hammer director in Fisher and Hammer leads in Lee and Walters, as Holmes and Watson respectively. Both Fisher and Lee are more at home in horror films, which, combined with the mood created by the German set designers, helps to create a more than appropriately eerie atmosphere. Lee wore a phony nose (to make him look more like Basil Rathbone, presumably) but had his voice dubbed in both the English and German versions.
