Lundigan is an Army officer sent to occupy a South Sea island; his main duty is to keep his men from fraternizing with local women. He tries to set a good example by dating only Greer, the daughter of an American missionary. Problems arise when journalist DeHaven arrives on the island and falls for Lundigan.
