Poorly handled production has Ford feigning death at the urgings of his wife, Vincent, in order to cash in on an insurance policy. Hogan, Ford's son by a previous marriage, smells something fishy and hires detective Scott to do some investigating. But this twist in the plot is quickly
brought to an end when the detective is bought off. Easy cop-out for the story has Ford jumping to his death when he discovers his wife has been carrying on with someone else with her new-found wealth. Story plods most of the way through; only the performance of Ford breathes some life into the
stagnant material.
