Mature plays the overseer of a Navy project to develop a shark repellent to be used by WW II pilots forced to land in the ocean. Because his only desire is to get the project completed as quickly as possible, he almost has an ineffective formula passed to the Navy. But the death of an innocent lad brings the scientist back to the research lab. Mature assigns himself the job of testing the final solution, which, luckily for Mature, actually works.
